Top 5 All-Rounders in the IPL

Many talented players have graced the Indian Premier League with their presence over the years. Be it batters or bowlers, all of them have entertained us with their breathtaking performances. But few teams have been lucky to have players on their side who are equally dangerous with bat and ball. These all-rounders have produced some spectacular performances in recent years and here, we shall look at five such all-rounders.

Hardik Pandya

The Gujarat Titans skipper has been one of the best all-rounders in the IPL over the last decade. Hardik finished as his team's highest run-scorer last season and also claimed eight wickets, including a match-winning spell of 3/17 in the final.

Hardik Pandya

Overall, Hardik has amassed 1963 IPL runs at an excellent average of 30.20 and an even better strike-rate of 147.59. He has also claimed 50 wickets at a decent overall economy rate of 7.28. Hardik bats in the lower middle-order and finishes. He has also taken a more active role in his bowling now as he has transformed himself into a new ball weapon.

Krunal Pandya

Krunal, Hardik's elder brother, is a top all-rounder himself. While Hardik is a batter who can bowl pace, Krunal is a spinner who can bat well. He bats left-handed and bowls left-arm orthodox spin.

Overall, Krunal has amassed 1326 runs in the IPL and has also taken 61 wickets.

Andre Russell

He is one of the GOATs of the IPL. Russell started his IPL journey in 2012 and has gone on to become a Kolkata Knight Riders legend over the years. He has won matches with bat and ball for KKR. Russell has played innumerable explosive knocks and has also delivered with his fast bowling whenever needed.

He is an equally potent ball weapon as his stats sum up. The Caribbean all-rounder has 89 IPL wickets to his name, at 24.48 average.

Ravindra Jadeja

The Indian all-rounder has been one of Chennai Super Kings' main weapons over the years. He has played a pivotal role in their success over the years, and continues to be a top all-rounder even now.

Jadeja has played over 200 IPL matches till date, amassing 2502 runs at an average of 26.62. He has also claimed 132 wickets at a good economy rate of 7.61. He is a weapon with his left-arm spin in the middle-overs and an explosive batter in the lower middle-order.

Liam Livingstone

The England all-rounder has been around the IPL circuit since 2019, but shot himself to fame only last season as he played all matches for Punjab Kings. Livingstone played some really explosive knocks and amassed a total of 437 runs at an outstanding strike-rate of 182.08.

Not only that, he also bowled some really effective spells of spin bowling. He is one of the rare players who bowl both wrist-spin and off-breaks. He changes that for right and left-handers, whichever batter is at the crease. Livingstone claimed six wickets last season, which was once again an excellent contribution on top of his batting returns.
